M.Elena Segantini was born in Germany and raised in Italy. She moved to the United States at the age of 24 to pursue her passion for photography. M. Elena comes from a distinguished family of artists, including the great painter Giovanni Segantini from her father's side and the photographer and painter Giovanni Magrin from her mother's side.
M.Elena's artistic talent was recognized when she was awarded a scholarship to attend the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. She graduated with Distinction (Summa cum Laude) in December of 1999. M. Elena's work spans a range of genres, from fashion to travel, portraits, and architectural photography.
Apple Inc. In 2007, M.Elena gained worldwide recognition for creating the iconic image of the Lily Flower that launched the first iPhone for Apple Ad Campaign. She has since been commissioned by numerous high-profile clients, including Marie Claire, Elle, Vogue Gioiello, Apple, Adidas, Reader's Digest, Mattel, Zoom Magazine, VicenzaOro Magazine, Booking.com, Elibre’, La Voz, 4Action Sport Magazine, Muscle and Fitness Magazine, and more.
Wedding&Moda Sposa Photography In Italy, M. Elena's wedding photography is known for its elegant, romantic, and beautiful style with a touch of fashion. She was nominated as one of the top 4 photographers "of excellence" for Moda Sposa in Italy in 2010.
Sport Photography M. Elena's entry into the world of Sports was not a calculated move, but rather a product of her personal passion for bodybuilding. However, this coincidental event, led her to discover her true calling as a sports photographer. Her exceptional talent behind the lens became evident when she captured mesmerizing images at the Mr. Universo competition in Riccione, which portrayed the emotions of the athletes on stage and behind the scenes. M. Elena's prowess as a photographer did not go unnoticed, and she soon was commissioned to photograph other sporting events such as the AWT in Morocco and the PWA World Windsurfing Tour in Pozo, Gran Canary
Islands. In 2019, she was in Portugal to cover the Surf competition and shot breathtaking images of outstanding windsurfing athletes in Lanzarote, Spain. This last location led her to an amazing photoshoot at the 10.7 IronMan competition at Club LaSanta in September 2017 with the creation of the 1st place-winning image of a Triathlete at the finish line featured in “La Voz” Spain. Her exceptional images capture the emotions and mental strength behind the scenes and on stage.
Jewerly&Product Photography M. Elena’s final year before graduation led to a huge assignment photographing and retouching a 100-image jewelry catalog shot with a large format camera, delivering exceptional visuals for a prestigious Beverly Hills jewelry design company. Her experience gave her the confidence, once graduated, to become part of a high-end jewelry studio in Los Angeles. She played a pivotal role in creating clean-cut jewelry images and preparing digital files tailored for e-commerce and catalog use. She then went on, creating beautiful fashion stories for various jewelry designers and magazines in Italy.
Creative Writing&Web3 M. Elena’s distinctive creative writing style has let to assignments, covering dedicated sections on sport competitions and writing about the experiences of participating athletes in her unique way. Her articles have been featured in 4Windsurf Magazine and 4Action Sport Magazine. She even won recognition in an Australian Magazine competition for her inspiring piece on Life. She recently became part of Medium.
M. Elena's enthusiasm for the new world of Web3 has brought her to actively be part of the Web3 space and become a member of SheFi Cohort8 Season in 2022-2023.
Her continuous commitment to learning in this field, led to the successful completion of an AI Trainer test This led her to successfully pass the AI Trainer test with excellence, showcasing her proficiency in AI training methodologies in both Italian and English. Her outstanding performance has been applauded and recognized by hiring Team.
Travel M. Elena's love for travel led to an on-going project with Booking.com, shooting for their "Destinations" guide for several years and now collaborating with their team as an affiliate.
Public Relations When in the United States, M. Elena has worked for 12 years at the Academy Awards and Emmys. She managed public relations for major events, including the Academy Awards and Emmys, fostering relationships with high-profile television personalities. She has excellent interpersonal skills, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective communication.
Stock&Art representation M. Elena's work is represented for stock images by Getty Images, Corbis, Art+Commerce, and SheStock images. Saatchi Art and Minted represent her today with Limited Collection pieces. Her Surf image and a Ballerina image were
chosen by Minted curators as winning images to be featured and sold at Pottery Barn Stores all over the USA.
M. Elena works now between Europe and the United States, and her images are a reflection of her soul and her sensitivity towards people and the beauty of the world.
Latest News M. Elena expresses immense gratitude and pride for her contribution to the first campaign for the iPhone with her “ Lily Flower”. Getty Images held the rights to the image for several years before returning it to the artist in November 2020. Now in full ownership, M. Elena plans to release a Limited Edition Collection of the iconic image, which has never been custom printed since its creation in 2004.
The first printed Artist Print from the Limited Collection has been proudly displayed at the AllaboutApple Museum in Savona, Italy since October 2020. The second Artist Print was donated to Apple Inc. in Cupertino, California in May 2021 and preserved in its archives for posterity. Lauren Reid, the archivist for Apple, describes the image as "stunning" and a "pivotal piece of the iPhone's history."
The collection will only be available to a select few collectors worldwide and will feature a fine art print of the iconic pink flower that has been a ubiquitous feature on Apple devices for many years.
A pre-sale for the limited edition is set to be announced at the beginning of 2024, so stay tuned for more information.
